This is a fun display piece! It was made in Japan, probably post-war, 1950s or early 60s, in the form of a fisherman. He winds up by turning the base and, after being wound, he turns while “How Dry I Am” plays. He is holding a fishing pole in one hand and a fish in the other and has a happily goofy expression on his face. His head has a cork bottom and comes off to access the bottle. He is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs - the music plays, but it’s not a high quality performance. The piece measures 13” in height.
This is a very cute display piece for a retro decor or fun for the fisherman!
